PLAY COMPLETE SLIDESHOW OF DAYS IMAGES

Its been awhile, but late this afternoon a series of severe thunderstorms fired over the NSW east coast. A upper low pressure system combined with a surface trough and some latent seabreeze and outflow boundaries sparked a particularly violent thunderstorm to from in south west sydney and track NW over western Sydney from Liverpool over Blacktown, Penrith and Richmond.

Analysis from the BoM on Sydney radio labelled this storm as rotating on radar. These pictures were taken from Cranebrook of the storm tracking from the SE. Click on slideshow link for more.
